Imagination!

Today was a really hard day with a two year old and being pregnant. But as I sit back now that Brinley is in bed- the few times that she was really good and behaving so out weigh all the hell I went through. One moment stuck out. I was doing some organizing, possibly talking to a friend online and heard her get her baby out from her room (this happens alot since she is more aware of my growing belly and that she has a sister coming.) She moved her chairs from the table and put them in the middle of the room and then tells me. Hey mom- baby and I are waiting for the bus. I looked over and found this:
First of all as I looked at her she has her baby in the carseat carrier with a blanket over the top. I dont have a baby right now so she isnt copying mom. She must have seen this observing other moms which is amazing to me how observant my 2 yr old is. Second she has rode the bus once with my dad not to long ago. But How did she know to make a waiting area out of her chairs... she waited on a bench. Last after she waited on that chair for probably 3-5 mins, I was in getting a drink of water and I hear as she is walking up the stairs to the front door .. The bus is here- bye mom! Kids are amazing how their imaginations take them all over the world!
I am so grateful I took that picture and was able to look back after a particularly hard day and KNOW that being a parent- a mom. Is SO worth it. These little moments are the best!

It's true. They are so much smarter than we give them credit for sometimes. I love that she is so excited to have a baby sister!
