I lay in bed last night after my family had gone to sleep and I was thinking about how grateful I was that my washer was working and that it had not cost much to fix. Then my thoughts went to the fact that although Brett had no idea what he was looking for he took the back off the washer and started looking for the problem. He has never worked on a washer or dryer before but he was able to locate the problem, found the part and put it back in by himself. I started to realize how lucky I am to have a husband who can do so much handy stuff around the house and who also knows how to fix the car when it breaks. Even if brett doesnt know how to do it he still trys and 99% of the time figures it out. I feel like I take advantage of this fact and do not take the time to thank him enough for all the things he does for our family. He works very hard to provide for us and when he comes home he works just as hard on his relationship with Brinely and I. I knew by the way he treated my little sisters and his nieces and nephew, how much he cared every time I recieve a new letter and pictures from Jensen family- that when we had kids he was going to be a great dad.
One of the neatest experiences Ive had and I dont know if ive ever told Brett- is when Jensen and his family came to see us at my parents house over the Thanksgiving Holiday. I was talking to Jensens parents and Brett went downstairs with Jensen and played with the train set with him. Seeing Brett getting down on the floor to play with this child who wasnt his own but he treated him just like he was the one that was Jensen birth dad. He cares about Jensen as much as I do and was so excited to meet him and his family.

Brett has always made the things that are important in my life important in his. I hope that I can be as good of a wife to him as he is a Husband to me. Brinley and I are truely lucky to have such an amazing person in our lives to call Dad and Husband. Thank you for everything you do for our family! I Love You (promise-promise).
