Fall Break in Soda Springs Idaho

Over fall break brett took some time off and we went up to Idaho to to spend time at my grandparents house. Brinners and I left Thursday with my sisters Madi and Hannah and Brett came on friday with my dad. On friday while we were waiting for everyone to show up my Grandma showed us the house that my great Uncle Frank built for my great grandma after my great grandpa died and she had to leave the house she had lived in for 40 years, because it was owned by the mine company out in Conda.
I had been in the house before my great grandma had died but i had no idea my uncle had built it. We then went over to the cemetary and saw where my great grandparents were buried and also a few of my other relatives id never had a chance to meet.
Grandma spent the rest of the day telling me alot about other great grandparents and it was really cool to find out that her Dad was in the CCC's. I had recently read a book about them and I felt real pride I knowing I had a relative who was apart of that as well.
On sat Danica brought her boyfriend Jake to meet my grandparents and my Aunt Jan brought her boyfriend Mike to meet them too.
The kids spent plenty of time riding the Vroom Vroom and they were all nice enough to give Brinner lots of time to ride too.
Saturday Night we went to Texas Roadhouse and ate dinner which is alot of fun minus the 1 hr 30 min wait we had cause our party was soo big.
Sunday after church we had the traditional famiy dinner. After we got out the bubbles id bought and took brin into the back yard where my cousin jake got some awsome pics of brin.
After that most everybody headed home. Brett and I stayed along with my mom and madi and hannah. Brett Brinners Madi and I went to get ice cream and on our way back to the house decided to take Brett over see the geyser that goes off every hour. Madi then had the idea of going back at midnight to see if it went off all night long cause over time they have put the geyser on a timer so people know when to come see it. So midnight rolled around and we went over and it didnt go off . On our way back though brett saw a factory out of town letting hot ore down the moutain and against the night sky it looked really cool so we drove out to Hooper Springs park and waited to see if they would let more down. They didnt so we left after 20 mins of sitting there. As soon as we get down the road and back into town they let more down the mountain so we flipped around, long story short we did that again and they again let it down right after we left. But we went back and sat until they let it down and I have to say i was skeptical but it was worth the wait! What can I say you have to find something to entertain yourself in a small town and we did! I dont have pictures of any of this because once again brinners broke the camera. Lucky us!
We were packing to leave monday and brett noticed the wire was showing on our back tires so we had to get new ones. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa GG and Brinners calls them- after calling 5 different tire stores and getting lost on our way to Logan, Utah that was my fault we ended up with two new tires and turned our 3 hours drive into a 5 hour scenic drive! All in all it was a great trip, I love being able to spend time with my family and it is really cool learning about where my ancesters came from and what they were like.
